If You Like Escape Rooms, You'll Love This
Most people picture VR as a booth, a headset and a shooting game. Our arena is built for something else: group puzzle adventures where your whole team moves through the world together.
Real puzzles, solved together
Ciphers, mechanisms, hidden passages and clues left behind by whoever came before you. The clock is running, and the way out only opens when the team figures it out.
No waiting on one person
In a normal escape room, one person works the lock while everyone else watches. Here up to 10 of you can grab, pull, climb and search at the same time, each seeing the others move in the world.
Places no room can build
A Mayan temple at night. Nikola Tesla's humming estate. A city after the outbreak. You walk through all of it on your own two feet inside a 2,300 sq ft arena, with no cables and no controllers.
Feel it, not just see it
4D effects put heat on your skin as you pass the torches, wind through the corridors and the smell of the jungle in the air. 5K headsets make it sharp enough to read the carvings.
Escape Room vs. NextGen VR
Same thrill of beating the puzzle as a team. Different size of world.
| Classic escape room | NextGen VR mission | |
|---|---|---|
| The puzzles | Locks, codes and riddles in one themed room | Mechanisms, symbols, traps and hidden passages spread across a whole world |
| Your team | One pair of hands at a time; the rest watch | 2–10 players all interacting at once, talking and moving together |
| The space | A decorated room or two | A temple, an inventor's estate or a fallen city, walked for real in a 2,300 sq ft arena |
| Your senses | Props and sound | Heat, wind and scent effects, full-body tracking, 5K visuals |
| Time | About 60 minutes, one room | 40-minute single or 70-minute double session including gear up; a double lets you play two worlds |
| Afterwards | A team photo | A personalized highlight video of your mission, plus the lounge with free Sugar & Ice drinks |

How a Mission Works
Book your slot
Choose a mission, your player count and a time. Pick a 40-minute single session or a 70-minute double.
Gear up (about 15 minutes)
The first part of your session: a 5K headset, a quick walkthrough and a safety brief. There are no controllers to learn; your hands and feet do the work.
Solve it together
Spend the rest of your session time in our worlds with your whole team, a guide watching over the mission, and the clock running.
Relive it
Your highlight video lands after the session. Compare scores in the lounge over free Sugar & Ice drinks.
Built for Groups
Escape rooms cap out at six or eight. Our arena takes 10 in a mission and up to 20 across the party, with the lounge in between.
Virtual Escape Room FAQs
Is this a real escape room?
It's the escape room idea taken further. You still work as a team against the clock to solve puzzles and find a way out, but instead of one decorated room you move through a full world in Canada's largest free-roam VR arena: Tesla's estate, a Mayan temple, a fallen city. You walk, crouch and reach for real, and you feel heat, wind and scent as you go.
How many people can play?
Missions run with 2 to 10 players in the arena at once (Tikal needs at least 4). Larger groups rotate through back-to-back missions and use the lounge between games.
Do I need to have tried VR before?
No. Our team fits your headset, explains the controls (there are none to learn: your body is the controller) and watches the whole mission. Most first-timers are moving confidently within a minute.
How long is a session?
Sessions are 40 minutes (single) or 70 minutes (double), including gear up. Like an escape room, how long you spend inside a mission depends on when you finish it; average playtime is about 25 minutes per mission. Many groups book a double and play a puzzle adventure followed by a zombie or team-battle game.
How much does it cost?
From $49 per player for a 40-minute single session. Every session includes the gear, a guide and a personalized highlight video.
Where are you?
4341 King St E, Kitchener, Ontario, with free parking. We're about 10 minutes from Waterloo and Cambridge and 25 minutes from Guelph. See all the areas we serve.
Will I get motion sick?
Free-roam VR is much easier on the body than seated VR because you move for real: when you take a step, the world moves with you. Motion sickness is rare in our arena. Minimum age and height are listed on the booking page.
